Google Summer of Code 2009
About
Agavi is a powerful, flexible, enterprise-grade MVC framework for PHP5. In development for nearly 4 years, it is one of the oldest and most mature frameworks available for PHP. The Agavi Project's interest in participating in the Google Summer of Code is twofold: first, we hope to enlighten future software developers to some practical methods of modularizing software and making it as capable and efficient as possible; second, we are always looking for new and bright minds to contribute to and help shape our software.
Participation
Interested in partnering with Agavi for your Google Summer of Code project? Here's a few ways that you can start interacting with the developers right away:
- Join the IRC channel, #agavi on irc.freenode.net (use Mibbit if you don't have an IRC client)
- Sign up to the development (and users) mailing lists
We love hearing suggestions and ideas from aspiring developers. Let us know what you think of the project, what ideas you have, what you're passionate about in software development, what you think works and doesn't work for Web (or non-Web) applications -- anything, really!
